- U.S. 72 relocation and extension in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina
- This proposal suggests that U.S. 72 should be relocated from its eastern terminus in Chattanooga to a more useful route extending from Scottsboro, AL to Rock Hill, SC including a priority of upgrading the heavily traveled, but poorly recognized corridor.
- It includes freeway and expressway upgrades on sections of the highway west of I-75 and east of I-77 that include the possible construction of a new portion that links Rock Hill, SC to Monroe, NC
State and Local Reform discusses policy reform intended to correct many major deficiencies with roads across the U.S. These include strategies to improve maintenance, road and bridge design standards, traffic control standards, planning and ineffective highway routings. Many issues and proposals are included with detailed strategies of how to make America's roads better.
Project Ideas
This page will include proposals for new highways, recommended major improvements and new highway designations. Note that the focus will primarily be on the Southeast and Atlantic states due to lack of knowledge of other parts of the country. However, we will welcome any suggestions!
